Kim Milbrath is a state and community advocacy manager for Voices for Healthy Kids. She has over 20 years of experience in public health project management, advocacy and policy campaign planning and execution, and business development. In addition to providing Voices for Healthy Kids grantees technical assistance and strategic campaign consultation, she also serves as the content lead on food access issues, providing consultation to American Heart Association affiliates across the country on healthy food financing, corner store initiatives, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) incentives programs and preemption.
She has worked with leading national organizations, including the Susan G. Komen Advocacy Alliance, the National Alzheimer’s Association, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Office of Refugee Resettlement and the State Department, as well as local-level groups, such as the NYC Smoke-Free Coalition and Center for Prevention at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota.
Kim is a native Minnesotan and received her Bachelor of Arts in history and political science and her Master of Public Health in administration and policy from the University of Minnesota. She currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her daughter Rowan, son Oliver, and two dogs Lola and Henry.
