Manager of Advocacy GrantsShannon Melluzzo is the manager of advocacy grants for Voices for Healthy Kids. She oversees the regranting program and helps campaigns through the application process to ensure ease and efficiency of their campaign administration. Shannon manages, advises and revamps applications and supporting content in the Voices for Healthy Kids online grant management system to make the process user-friendly, while collecting information for funding decisions.
Shannon has built her career at the American Heart Association for over 18 years. She is a detail-oriented project manager who enjoys turning a strategic vision into an action plan to achieve success with concrete steps.
She graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and a minor in health. She knew right away she was meant for the nonprofit sector due to her desire to be an advocate for all.
Shannon spends her free time with her family, cheering on her kids in their numerous activities. She loves being outdoors and in her numerous flower and vegetable gardens.
